Rhododendron Dwarf Williamsianum


Rhododendron Williamsianum. A dome-shaped, evergreen shrub with dark green leaves, brown when young. Loose clusters of bell-shaped flowers in various shades of pink sometimes white in spring. Max Height 1.5m. Max Spread 1.2m. Flowers March to May. Makes for a highly attractive border specimen.



Plant in moist acidic well drained soil. Full sun, hardy. Provide a deep winter mulch for added protection.


General Rhododendron Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
  • Remove the pot, if the Rhododendron is well rooted cut off the pot.
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Rhododendron and area thoroughly
  • Water regular until Rhododendron is established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
