Phygelius New Sensation


Phygelius New Sensation, Cape Fushia. Clump forming sub shrub with handsome glossy, deep green foliage adorns rich burgundy tinted stems. Birds simply love the clusters of long, nodding, attractive vibrant pink throated tubular flowers that cover this Phygelius. Blooms June through September. Having a max height of 3 - 4 Feet and a Max spread of 3 Feet.



Plant in moist fertile well drained soil in a sheltered site. Full sun, Frost Hardy. Dead head regularly.


General Herbaceous & Perennial Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding some planting compost.
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot.
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the area thoroughly.
  • Water regular until established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
