Phlox paniculata Darwin's Joyce


Phlox paniculata Darwin's Joyce. having an erect habit fairly quick growing perennial with very broad creamy edges on green leaves. Produces pink eyed fragrant flowers in domed-shaped clusters on tall stems from mid summer thought autumn. Ideal for a sunny perennial border. In hot climates, provide partial shade. Perennial. Max height 30 Inches, Max spread 24 inches.



Plant in moist fertile well drained soil. Full sun / Partial shade, Hardy. Dead head regularly to encourage new blooms. 


General Herbaceous & Perennial Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding some planting compost.
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot.
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the area thoroughly.
  • Water regular until established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
