Helleborus Double White Picotee 


A clump-forming, evergreen or semi-evergreen perennial with leathery, deeply lobed, dark green leaves and, from late winter to mid-spring, upright stems bearing outward-facing, double, spotted, creamy-white flowers with dark purple-pink margins. Will reach a height of 0.35m and a spread of 0.25m after 2-5 years.


Prefers heavy, neutral to alkaline soil in partial shade. Will tolerate full sun and most soil conditions. Avoid excessively dry or wet conditions. Shelter from strong, cold winds.


General Herbaceous & Perennial Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding some planting compost.
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot.
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the area thoroughly.
  • Water regular until established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
