Dierama Miranda


 'Miranda' is a vigorous, clump-forming, half-hardy, cormous evergreen perennial with narrow, erect to semi-erect, grass-like, dark green leaves and slender, arching stems bearing pendent spikes of tubular to bell-shaped, reddish- to purple-pink flowers in summer. Height 1.2m Spread 1.2m


Plant in moist fertile ericaceous soil. Keep in a cold glasshouse with plenty of ventilation over the winter ready for planting out in the Spring.


General Herbaceous & Perennial Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding some planting compost.
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot.
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the area thoroughly.
  • Water regular until established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
