Tomato Alicante

 

Superior variety possessing all the things we look for in a tomato. Early in the season it produces heavy crops of medium sized, greenback free fruits with a superb sweet flavour. This productive and reliable tomato is best grown as a cordon either in the greenhouse or outdoors in a sheltered, sunny spot. Flower period June, July, August, September. Height: 200cm Spread: 50cm.

General Vegetable Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
  • Ensure that the top is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Vegetable and area thoroughly
  • Water regular until Vegetable is established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
