Pepper Bell Boy

 

Capsicum annuum Bellboy, Sweet pepper. Upright, sturdy vegetable with solitary flowers followed by mild, sweet peppers that can be harvested when they are green or later when they turn red. Add to salads, Beds and borders, Flavouring food and drinks, Greenhouse. Will reach a height of 0.5m and a spread of 0.5m after 1-2 years.

 

In mild climates, select varities that will grow outside and sow in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered spot after the danger of frost has passed. Alternatively, sow indoors in March-April.

 

General Vegetable Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
  • Ensure that the top is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Vegetable and area thoroughly
  • Water regular until Vegetable is established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
