Lettuce Saladin

 

Lettuce Saladin is probably the Iceberg on the groceríes shelf, large well wrapped heads of shiny bright green leaves. Very crisp and stands well at maturity. produces compact plants with dense well wrapped heads that give good leaf protection. With crisp, tasty green leaves over dense hearts the plants grow to medium to large size and hold remarkably well when ready. With resistance to bolting and leaf rot it is very suitable for spring and summer planting.

 

 

 

General Vegetable Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
  • Ensure that the top is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Vegetable and area thoroughly
  • Water regular until Vegetable is established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
