Courgette Ambassador

 

An attractive variety and an outstanding hybrid that gives attractive dark green courgettes over a long period. A popular professionally-grown variety and well known for the home gardener, it is an early fruiting, high yielding courgette which matures in approximately 50 days. The fruits are high quality with excellent flavour, 10 to 20 cm (4 to 8in) long with beautiful waxy appearance containing crisp white flesh. Cooked as a vegetable, classic organically grown courgettes have a light, sweet and slightly nutty flavour.

 

 

Sunny, sheltered spot and improve the soil by digging in some well-rotted manure or compost.

 

General Vegetable Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
  • Ensure that the top is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Vegetable and area thoroughly
  • Water regular until Vegetable is established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
