Rosmarinus Officinalis


Rosemary. Dense, upright, evergreen shrub with linear, aromatic, dark green leaves and spikes of blue flowers in mid-spring and early summer. Beds and borders, Bees (attract & feed bees), Coastal, Containers, Cottage/Informal, Drought Tolerant, Foliage only, Low Maintenance, Mediterranean, Wallside and trellises. will reach a height of 1.5m and a spread of 0.6m after 5-10 years.



Plant in poor, well-drained soil in a sheltered, sunny site.


General Herb Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
  • Remove the pot gently, if the Herb is well rooted cut off the pot.
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Herb and area thoroughly
  • Water regular until Herb is established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
