Fennel Bronze

 

Foeniculum vulgare 'Giant Bronze'. Tall annual with feathery, bronze-purple leaves and flat-topped, sulphur-yellow flowerheads in mid- to late summer, followed by aromatic seeds. Uses include Cottage/Informal, Add to salads, Flavouring food and drinks, Beds and borders, Wildlife, Foliage only. will reach a height of 2m and a spread of 0.5m after 2-5 years.

 

 

Plant in moist, fertile soil. Full Sun.

 

General Herb Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
  • Remove the pot gently, if the Herb is well rooted cut off the pot.
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Herb and area thoroughly
  • Water regular until Herb is established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
