Coriander

 

Coriandrum sativum, an annual with aromatic leaves and small white or purplish flowers, followed by aromatic fruits used in cooking. Possible uses Cottage/Informal, Beds and borders, Drying, Foliage only, Add to salads, Flavouring food and drinks. Will reach a height of 0.5m and a spread of 0.5m after 1-2 years.

 

Plant in fertile, well drained soil. If you want seed development, plant in full sun, or leaf production plant in partial shade.

 

General Herb Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
  • Remove the pot gently, if the Herb is well rooted cut off the pot.
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Herb and area thoroughly
  • Water regular until Herb is established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
