Balm All Gold

 

Bushy, clump-forming perennial with wrinkled, ovate, golden-yellow, lemon-scented leaves and irregular spikes of purple-flushed, white flowers in summer. Leaves are scented. Can be used to flavour cool drinks. Max Height 1 meter, Max Spread 50cm.

 

 

Plant in free draining soil or compost, Partial shade prevents leaf scorch

 

General Herb Planting and care

  • Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
  • Remove the pot gently, if the Herb is well rooted cut off the pot.
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Herb and area thoroughly
  • Water regular until Herb is established.
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
