Trachelospermum Jasminoides

 

Trachelospermum Jasminoides. A twining climber with glossy dark evergreen, green leaves, that turning an attractive bronze-red in winter. Pure white flowers from mid to late summer. Max Height 9m. Ideal for growing on a warm wall. Flowers July to August.

 

 

Plant in moist fertile well drained soil in a sheltered site. Full sun / partial shade, Frost hardy.

 

General Climber Planting and care

  • Water the Climber thoroughly and allow to drain fully
  • If the Climber is being planted in a lawn remove a circle of turf
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base Adding a bucketful of planting compost
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in well
  • Water the Climber and area thoroughly, then again at least once a week during the first growing season
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring
