Passiflora Caerulea

 

Passiflora Caerulea, Blue Passion Flower. A showy very free flowering evergreen climber with an intricate structure to the exotic looking flowers. Max Height 3m. Max Spread 3m. Flowers April to November. Fruits July to October.

 

Plant in fertile moist well drained soil, shelter from the cold drying winds.

 

General Climber Planting and care

  • Water the Climber thoroughly and allow to drain fully
  • If the Climber is being planted in a lawn remove a circle of turf
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base Adding a bucketful of planting compost
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in well
  • Water the Climber and area thoroughly, then again at least once a week during the first growing season
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring
