Clematis Tangutica

 

Clematis Tangutica. An attractive and elegant deciduous climb shrub with green foliage. Sought after for its pendant shaped yellow flowers that appear during the summer. Ideal for many climbing applications including walls, trellis, fences and pillars or left to grow through other shrubs and trees. With a height that could exceed 16 Ft ,(5 Meters).

 

Plant in moist but not waterlogged soil. Full sun / Partial Shade, hardy. Prune back hard in early Spring.

 

General Climber Planting and care

  • Water the Climber thoroughly and allow to drain fully
  • If the Climber is being planted in a lawn remove a circle of turf
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base Adding a bucketful of planting compost
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in well
  • Water the Climber and area thoroughly, then again at least once a week during the first growing season
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring
