Clematis Montana Morning Yellow


A deciduous climbing shrub with divided dark-green leaves. In spring, it bears semi-double, pale-yellow flowers that fade to white. Ideal for Wallside and trellises. will reach a height of 12m and a spread of 4m after 2-5 years.


Plant in fertile, well-drained soil especially chalky soils.


General Climber Planting and care

  • Water the Climber thoroughly and allow to drain fully
  • If the Climber is being planted in a lawn remove a circle of turf
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base Adding a bucketful of planting compost
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in well
  • Water the Climber and area thoroughly, then again at least once a week during the first growing season
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring
