Clematis Montana 'Marjorie'


Clematis Montana Marjorie. An early flowering, fast growing deciduous climber, with divided, green leaves. Bears a profusion of single, cream-pink, flowers. Max Height 5m to 15m. Max Spread 2m to 3m. Makes a highly attractive climbing wall specimen. Flowers May to June.



Plant in fertile well drained soil. Full sun / Partial shade, Hardy.


General Climber Planting and care

  • Water the Climber thoroughly and allow to drain fully
  • If the Climber is being planted in a lawn remove a circle of turf
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base Adding a bucketful of planting compost
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in well
  • Water the Climber and area thoroughly, then again at least once a week during the first growing season
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring
