Clematis Early Sensation (evergreen)


A compact evergreen climber with parsley-green leaves and small, white, bowl-shaped flowers in early spring. Suggested uses: Conservatory, Containers, Wallside and trellises. Will reach a height of 2m and a spread of 2.5m after 5-10 Years.


Will grow well against a warm wall in fertile, well-drained soil (especially chalky soils). Also ideal conservatory plant.


General Climber Planting and care

  • Water the Climber thoroughly and allow to drain fully
  • If the Climber is being planted in a lawn remove a circle of turf
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base Adding a bucketful of planting compost
  • Remove the pot gently, if well rooted cut off the pot
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in well
  • Water the Climber and area thoroughly, then again at least once a week during the first growing season
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring
