Saxifraga Aren. Peter Pan


Compact, mound-forming, evergreen perennial with tiny grey-green leaves arranged in rosettes. In spring, it is covered with single, small rose-pink flowers with yellow centres. Will reach a height of 0.1m and a spread of 0.5m after 2-5 years.


Plant in acid-free, moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Susceptible to leaf scorch in warm situations. Do not allow to dry out.


General Alpine Planting and care

  • Water the Alpine thoroughly and allow to drain fully
  • If the Alpine is being planted in a lawn remove a circle of turf
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base Adding a bucketful of planting compost
  • Remove the pot gently, if the tree is well rooted cut off the pot
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in well
  • Water the Alpine and area thoroughly, then again at least once a week during the first growing season
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring
