Pulsatilla vulgaris Blue Violet Shades

 

Blue Violet Shades Pulsatilla produces blooms of blue violet. Upright growth habit. Also known as Pasque Flower, wind flower, meadow anemone, and Easter flower. Will reseed when happy in your garden. Will reach a height of 0.5m and a spread of 0.5m after 2-5 years.

 

 

Plant in well-drained soil in full sun.

 

General Alpine Planting and care

  • Water the Alpine thoroughly and allow to drain fully
  • If the Alpine is being planted in a lawn remove a circle of turf
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base Adding a bucketful of planting compost
  • Remove the pot gently, if the tree is well rooted cut off the pot
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in well
  • Water the Alpine and area thoroughly, then again at least once a week during the first growing season
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring
