Erodium Variabile Album


Forms a lovely dense cushion of scalloped, foliage with beautiful white flowers through the summer. Originated from Majorca its ideal for any garden situation, rock gardens, gravel beds, crevices and containers with other low growing alpines, or herbs. Height x Spread / Trail: 8 x 25 cm



Plant in moderately well-drained, fertile soil in full sun. Tolerates partial shade.


General Alpine Planting and care

  • Water the Alpine thoroughly and allow to drain fully
  • If the Alpine is being planted in a lawn remove a circle of turf
  • Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base Adding a bucketful of planting compost
  • Remove the pot gently, if the tree is well rooted cut off the pot
  • Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil
  • Replace the remaining soil and heel in well
  • Water the Alpine and area thoroughly, then again at least once a week during the first growing season
  • Apply some general fertiliser every spring
